Just after the wedding in Whitby Jen and I got some massive news, I mean mahoosive. We were about to go away for a couple of days to Manchester as a treat to ourselves for several months of general suckyness and skintness. We had come out the other end of what was an unpleasant time but one that probably ultimately made us stronger. Jen hadn’t been feeling to well and decided to take a pregnancy test to rule it out, convinced the result would be negative I bought a test while at the shops and gave it to Jen.

It was positive!

We had not been expecting this at all and the truth be told this news threw us completely off for a number of days. The important thing is that even though this wasn’t planned and both our initial reactions were “oh my god!!!” we are now both of us ludicrously happy about the news. We’ve had our first scan and everything seems as it should be which is excellent news. We have decided to not find out the sex of our latest soon to be addition to the family figuring that whether girl or boy they will have to share a room regardless.

I still find it hard to believe I didn’t blog about this at the time but the news has been out for some time now and writing this brief blog somehow completes the announcement. Anyways Epic Big news done, my next blog post will be a brief catch up on the slightly less epic stuff I’ve been up to over the last few months.
